Honey

Our bees were the first animals on our farm after we inherited it. A colony had taken up residence in the northwest corner of the farmhouse. Melissa, along with Andy’s dad John, took the spring beekeeping class offered by COBA and purchased the first hive and package of bees. Later that summer, Andy and John set to work relocating the hive from the house and successfully moved them to a new home. The bees have access to all the plants on our farm, and we don’t use any chemicals on our homestead grass or weeds. Our honey is extracted yearly in late summer and is raw and unfiltered. It helps reduce the severity of seasonal allergies when taken daily.
